Swiss-based company Barix offers an audio ad-insertion for retail called Adiosys. However, one of the application's first iterations was completely operated by command-line. Using PHP-MySQL, along with shell scripting and cron jobs, I developed a web UI to work with the server application.

The Adiosys server, hosted by StreamGuys, receives an audio stream and passes it on to authorized receiving devices in retail locations, hotels, etc. Adiosys manages ad files, locations, device hardware, and ad-schedules. Each location, or group of locations, can receive custom targeted ads based on the schedule.
